Captain”s Table Catering will assist you with all aspects of planning  and executing your wedding reception.

Our first task is to help you  find a suitable venue for the reception, if you don’t have one already  picked out.. We maintain an ongoing list of venues, including vacation rental homes, event sites, and beach pavilions within our service area. We can email you our latest list of possible venues. If you find a venue that we are not familiar with, we will be happy to check it out for you.

We like to customize the menu based on your particular likes and dislikes. If you give us a broad outline of the kinds of menu items you prefer, meat, fish, fowl, vegetarian, all of the above, we will fill in the blanks and put together a proposal. Let us know if you want to include pupus(appetizers), a salad perhaps, how many entrees, side dishes, any desserts. If you are planning on having a wedding cake, there are cake vendors listed on our Resources page.  We will be happy to serve the cake for you.

The proposal will spell out the complete menu. The price per person will include any onsite labor for the  setup, food service and cleanup. Also included will be a detailed equipment rental list of any needed items that may not be available at the venue. The proposal will also spell out the terms of payment, and advance deposits required to reserve a specific date. In addition to personal checks and cash, we accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Equipment rentals may include tables , chairs, table linens, china and glass place settings, chafing sets for buffet service, coolers for the bar. A few venues have their own tables and chairs available.

Depending on the time of year as well as the particular location,we may recommend to  cover the guest tables and buffet in the event of rain.  In this case we will ask you to contact Big Island Tents direct to select the appropriate sized tent/canopy.A dance floor can also be rented from them. Decorative lighting may also  be needed if the reception is outdoors.

Hot and cold food items are prepared at the catering commissary and brought to the reception site. Some cold items will be assembled at the site and some hot items will be cooked by your very own PERSONAL CHEF at the site to ensure freshness and the best presentation. A full service staff is provided to set-up, cook, serve and clean-up after the event.

We also offer bar service, providing the appropriate glasses, ice and coolers, physical bar and bartender(s). You provide all beverages and we will serve them  with no corkage charge.

The names of any other professionals that you may need for the wedding reception are listed on our Resources page. These are vendors that we have worked with in the past.
